The Scoring
Questions are stated in first person, active voice, in a positive way. Survey respondents state their level of agreement with the statements. 5 is strongly agree, with a rang of choices down to 1 which is strongly disagree. The average of the respondents score is calculated for each question. Scoring also indicates all critical scores per question (as shown below). Each sub-category also shows the average for it.
Self Score
Self score is the score this individual or group of individuals gave themself.
Self Versus Aggregate – Average
The self-score is compared to the aggregate of all participants: Examples – employees in a location compared to their customers; a manager to peers; a group compared to regions; store compared to region.
Gap
The gap between self score and actual aggregate (average) score is also shown.
Average Importance
Respondents (using the same 1-5 scale) also indicate how important the factor in each survey question is to them. This factor is valuable in the results reports.
Spread
The spread between aggregate score is also shown. It is measured from narrow to wide.
